Please tell me we have the option to send Zaza back in January to wherever we loaned him from. Smelt like Horrible panic loan deal from the start.

Oxford should have played last night, simple! Why play a midfielder who has done fuck all so far at CB instead?

We flogged off Tomkins pressumably because Billic prefered an ageing Collins (v poor decision as predicted) and because Oxford and Burke needed more game time and to know they are part of the club's plans.

We then loan out Burke and leave Oxford on the bench v a 4th division side in the 3rd round of the LC preffering a midfielder.

Nothing Billic is doing at the moment makes any sense. Square pegs in round holes unecessarily and continually mucking about with the defence from game to game whilst we are conceeding goals for fun.

Second half the performance was better with the arrival of Payet and Lanzini. Defence had very little to worry about.

Obiang and Fernandes played well in the middle.

Feghouli wont be troubling Antonio for the right midfield spot anytime soon and Tore wont be troubling anyone at all.

Shame to not see Oxford and Fletcher get some game time.

Must say Zaza looks very ordinary. Lacking in pace to be a real threat. With all our strikers fit I still think Sakho would be our best option.

Fernandes looked talented, great touch... debut game he did OK.

Feghouli was poor but he looked unfit coming back from injury. When he's up to speed I think he'll be good. Wheras Tore could be like Usain Bolt and he'd still be shit.

I agree with nearly all your analysis... but I disagree about Masuaku. He had a mare against WBA but apart from that he's been mustard and he was good again last night. We're going to miss him massively now.

Even the lousy spuds tried the kids out and they went on the rampage against the Gills. We know our defence is suspect so why not give Oxford a run. We also know our current strikers are crap and the only hope for goals we have at present is Fletcher (and Sakho if he is still around).

Of course we needed a win badly but I don't see Calleri, Tores and Zaza being the answer, hopefully they will all be gone by Christmas.

Thank fuck for the party decks, that's all I can say, although sitting in row one in the lower by the corner flag, it's probably one of the closest seats in the house, not sure if that was a good think though last night. Another pony performance, but we're through.

To only beat a mediocre League 2 side in injury time was frankly embarrassing, the "out" shouts are only going to get louder.

Just as an aside, was that the first time ever we have started a game without a British player in the team?

I sat in the middle of east lower last night instead of my usual east upper and preferred it so much more but then I'm used to sitting in chicken run. I actually felt part of the atmosphere and game for first time this season. I'll def be getting lower s/t soon as I can.

As for game, it was shit yeah but worth being there for just for the Payet free kick. We've never seen his like before at scoring from so many free kicks, absolute pleasure to see.

Antonio should be tutoring the rest of the team, particularly the newcomers, in how to play with passion and energy. Granted he can look clumsy at times but if you actively look for the ball and run your heart out for as long as you can then something at some point will happen for you, because you're making it happen. Fortunately for us Antonio shows flashes of great technical ability also, hence the goals. Another thing he could tutor our players on.

When you have a lack of ability and mix it with a poor attitude/lack of desire then you're really not suited to English football. Probably get away with it in Italy but it takes more than a photo of you flashing the hammers sign and an interview saying how much you respect the fans to win us over.

Lets pull no punches here, the way the fans that were cheering at the end was fucking embarrassing. I was raging throughout that performance.
We should have cruised that last night - remember this was a mid table division 2 side - maybe we have found our level..Not going to extra time was a bonus as i didnt have to suffer any more of that bilge. Fortunate that we have a world class international who can score from free kicks. Also we actually seemed to play better with 10 men.

Player analysis

Zaza never won a single ball in the air and never worked the line in 90 minutes absolute dogshit.

Calleri - please put him on a plane back from where he came from, No pace, no strength no courage. dogshit.

Feghouli - what the fuck did he contribute? A great backpass to their keeper? dogshit.

Tore - so unfit blowing out of his arse against this level of opposition. Needs to lose weight too many kebabs. So flashes of ability but too slow for premiership football.

Fernandes - lightweight should have some of Tores Kebabs.

Masuaku - All i can say is that I am glad he is just covering looking forward to seeing cresswell back. This lad is defensively suspect.

Ogbonna - Untroubled and composed easy night.

Nordtveit - didnt understand this decision Oxford should have been out there. Saying that he wasnt really put under any pressure.

Arbeloa - Not much to do caught out of position for one of teh efforts from Stantley. Provided width but was often found too late with the ball.

Randolph - pulled of class save never looked like he was going to get beat - food for thought as a starter for the weekend

Obiang - i thought he had a great game did what he needed to do in the middle of the park

The cavalry arrived in the shape of Lanzini, Payet and Antonio. When the came ironically is when Stanley had their best chances... However touch, technique, drive and vision from our midfield maestros opened up the defence only for a lack of incisiveness in front of goal. Antonios energy, he started running across the line in comparison to Zaza who allowed himself to be bossed all night made a difference.

Anyway its consigned to the history book we move on in the competition and refocus for the Southampton game at the weekend.

Bilic was scared to try the kids last night. Another loss, especially of that magnitude, and he knows it's another nail in his coffin toward the sack.

He was happy to drop a few of the stars and try some other faces but not the youngsters, many of which probably have more will and desire than the shower of shit we have seen from the seniors so far. I'd start Fletcher up top in the Prem let alone a game like this.

Our U21's should be able to beat a team like Accrington. It was a dream game for them, can you imagine what it's like going from playing in their stadium to the OS? Putting aside it's flaws it's still a huge place to visit for lower league teams. We seem to have a knack of making every team who has played there look decent, from a pub team from Romania to a 4th tier English team or wherever they are.

We have zero home advantage this year, which is something we have relied on to stay in the Premiership for many seasons. That's what the worrying thing is.

People saying we were in control watched a different game to me - and every report I've read. They had much the better chances until the last 15 minutes and we couldn't have had any complaints if we'd lost last night.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Accrington Stanley - The Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Generally massively in favour of youth promotion for games like last night, but we needed a win and the players who played needed a run out and some confidence. Unfortunately in many cases it didn't work. And sadly, the kids had their chance in the CHECKATRADE trophy, and they got thumped by Coventry, so they might need to looka little closer to home as to why they didn't get a game last night.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Accrington Stanley - The Official Match Thread FT 1-0
One of the stewards caused me and the kids to miss the first 10 minutes of the match (long story) and then started shouting at me when I told him he was an incompetent ####. One of the "old" stewards stepped in and apologised and asked me to make a formal complaint to the Club and that he (the old steward) would write a report about it and to be fair he then showed me the report he'd written after the match.

Then inside the ground I had this borderline downs bloke behind me - I kept looking for his carer but I reckon he wasn't quite thick enough to qualify for one - just loudly saying "they show no passion", "it's all about the money", "Stratford is shit"... 100 times through the game, he just repeated the same thing. He wasn't drunk, just thick. He kept telling everyone what a committed fan he was only he didn't know the Payet song and got the "Stratford's a shithole I want to go home" thing wrong too. Then he started coating Masuaku for "wasting time" when he was clearly badly injured at which point I told the #### to shut up.

And we were #### on the pitch. Some people on here say we were "in control" but they had as many chances as we did but without the possession. And they won the headers at almost every defensive and attacking corner, they were faster than us... it was depressing last night.

Something is very wrong. I think Bilic will be sacked in a month and we'll find out there is something seriously wrong behind the scenes.

I hope I'm wrong.

This is exactly my issue with foreign players, the top players we should have but the likes of Tore are just blocking a space for a young English kid.

Billic's refusal to use kids is an issue.

At least they would bring a bit of energy to the team
